All EJ257 power variants share the same short block, cast pistons, and head gasket design, so no factory tune is inherently more reliable than another. The US-spec 300hp cars run the highest boost and thermal load, which if anything increases ringland and head gasket stress over time, while JDM and Euro tunes at lower boost are not meaningfully safer either given how widespread these failures are across the whole range. Buying decisions should be based on documented maintenance history, oil change intervals, and a clean combustion gas and compression test, not on the advertised factory power figure.
