All M271 supercharged variants share the same rear timing chain design and the same fundamental failure risk, so chain condition and service history matter more than which badge or power output the car has. If choosing between tunes for reliability reasons, the lower-output C180K and early C200K place less mechanical stress on the supercharger bearing than the C230K, but this is a secondary factor compared to confirming the timing chain kit has actually been replaced. Do not assume a facelift 184 hp C200K is safer than an early 163 hp car, both used the same chain and tensioner parts.
