Do not choose a Ranger 2.2 TDCi purely on the advertised hp figure. All three tunes (120, 150, and 160 hp) share the same injector, EGR, and DPF architecture, so the failure risk is essentially the same across the range. The bi-turbo 160 hp version was introduced later (2015 facelift) and tends to come with more recent overall running gear simply because it is a newer build, not because the engine itself was redesigned to fix known injector or EGR weaknesses.
