Do not choose based on power output alone. The 180 hp and 220 hp (S3) tunes share the same timing chain, PCV, and water pump architecture, so the core reliability risks apply equally to both. The 220 hp S3 tune does get stronger internals to handle the extra boost, but this does not reduce chain or oil consumption risk. Prioritise confirmed Gen 3 (2015 onward) production and full service documentation over chasing a specific hp figure.
